Every year we recognize August as World Breastfeeding Month, which means my annual breastfeeding mini sessions! I have the amazing honor of documenting huge milestones in these mother's breastfeeding relationships, it gives me great joy to be hired for such an personal thing. It was fantastic to see some familiar faces from the previous year's mini sessions and get to photograph yet another year of breastfeeding. I also had the opportunity of meeting some new mamas, which was lovely speaking with them about their journey so far. Thank you ALL who participated in this year's mini sessions, and I look forward to next year! :) Although I no longer photograph weddings, I was asked by a dear friend for an hour of my time to photograph her elopement, and I happily obliged. After the ceremony, her little Jupiter got a little thirsty, so she and her best friend nursed together right in front of her family. It was such a beautiful, natural thing to witness...I just *had* to get a few pictures, of course! There were a ton of nursing moms that came out to The Big Latch On event at Mother's Haven, making this year another big success for Idaho and Washington nursing moms and their supporters. Thankful for the amazing Public Breastfeeding Awareness Project and the opportunity to not only show how beautiful and natural it is, but to also help normalize public breastfeeding in our culture.
