Thank you for being here!!
a born-and-raised pacific northwesterner, I grew up in the Seattle, washington area. My parents decided to move to ashland, oregon right before I went into middle school and We finally settled down here in spokane, washington when I was a junior in high school. I did go back to eugene, Oregon for college but I'm not ashamed to admit that it did not work out the way i had hoped; but ever since my first photography class as a freshman in high school, I've had a camera in my hands trying to document life...and oh boy! has life moved fast since then...
I met my partner when we were just babies (well, 23 years old is a baby to me now) and at one point had four kids under 6 years old making me basically the most caffeinated mother in the world back then. Those "babies" are now 13, 10, 7 & 6 and literally the coolest kids I know (not biased at all!). Our family absolutely loves camping and gardening together - we truly thrive in the great outdoors and the redwoods is our heaven on earth. We love board games and a snuggly movie night with lots of popcorn + nutritional yeast (try it).
I am also a vintage collector, avid thrifter, tropical plant collector, animal advocate, metalhead and absolute birth nerd.

"Natalie is an absolute gift to the birth world."
- Terri, local midwife "We love the images we received from Natalie! We chose her to document the home-birth of our third baby and she did such an amazing job. The moments she captured are priceless and her personality is perfect for the birthing atmosphere. Warm, gentle and completely laid back. If you're looking for someone who perceives all that is beautiful about birth and makes you feel comfortable and unpressed during the process, it's Natalie!"
- Amanda, birth client "After a couple years of looking at Natalie's work, I knew I wanted her to document the birth of our third child. Her work is beautiful and perfectly captures the emotion and feel of the room. However, not only is she a fabulous photographer; she is very passionate about birth and mothers. This shows through as Natalie was quick to offer help, fill up my water bottle and offered emotional support when needed. She made me feel valued and supported as a laboring mom, and if we are blessed with another pregnancy, I will happily ask Natalie to be a part of our birth again...!"
- Kelsey, birth client "My husband unexpectedly left me during my pregnancy, but Natalie made me feel safe and loved during a very dark time in my life. She helped me as a freshly single, postpartum mom, and I cannot thank her enough for making this such an amazing, positive experience when it could have been the worst of my life..." - Ashley, Birth client
"There are quite a few incredible birth photographers in our area, and I knew I had to meet with each of them to really know who I would be able to choose to attend my birth. After meeting with Natalie in-person, I knew I didn't have to meet with any more photographers, we just clicked. Not only does she have an impressive birth portfolio, and her prices are extremely fair for what birth coverage entails, but she truly is so fun to work with. Natalie will be the first person to know when I am pregnant again (well, besides my husband, of course!) because I couldn't imagine anyone else being able to photograph the process like she does so beautifully."

"After our first photographer cancelLed, I felt very let down and afraid that we wouldn't be able to find someone to document the birth of our baby in time. Natalie was recommended by a friend and was able to get us on her schedule, even though she had another momma due very close to my due date. She was so personable and friendly and we hired her right away. She was at our house in an instant after I called, it seemed, and I didn't even notice her during my labor, until after our baby came and I couldn't help but keep showing her off. The images came out incredibly beautiful. We adore them. We adore Natalie and are hiring her to document the birth of our third baby this fall. Not only did I get some gorgeous photos of one of the most important days of our lives, but I gained a friend."
- Kerry, birth client "When my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our second child late last year, we were overjoyed but also very nervous. We were determined to have a more positive outcome than last time, and were really looking forward to having doula support for this birth. When we sat down for our consultation with Natalie early on in our pregnancy, she instantly put us at ease, and made sure we felt heard and respected. Fast forward to labor: she was INCREDIBLE!!! I knew she was good at what she does, that was obvious from her work online, but she was there for whatever my husband and I needed. I honestly felt like she was doing a million things at once, and I do not know HOW she even took pictures the whole time, but I received the most amazing birth story back a few weeks later. The images that she captured of our story are priceless, and every time I look at them I am filled with happiness and appreciation for her craft. I don’t think I could have another baby without her being there, that’s how thankful I am for her. We love you so much, Natalie!!"
- Jessica, birth client "I can't imagine giving birth without my partner by my side...as well as Natalie."
- Rebecca, birth client. "She held my newborn as if it were her own...and as a mother, that's really all I can ask for. I knew my baby was safe and loved during our entire session together, and her studio is incredible!" - Brittani, newborn client |
