Stephanie (from Shmily Face Photography) and I geared up for an 8 hour day with Caitlin & Alex, and had an absolute blast. Could not have asked for nicer people to work with, and all the attention to detail with the decor and food. Congratulations to the two of them, I know they will have a long life of happiness together...

Andrea is such a sweet woman, an incredible mother of two boys, and a baby girl on the way! She is the owner/Doula of Two Roads Birth Services, and I have seen her in action, Ladies and Gentlemen...she rocks. I also had mentioned on my Facebook page how it should literally be illegal to be this incredibly gorgeous at 32 weeks pregnant!!! I mean, seriously... It was an honor to be about to capture her cute bump. So excited to meet baby in September!

I hope everyone is fully enjoying this beautiful 4th of July :) I thought it would be nice to introduce a little 'Before & After' edit for all of the clients and followers that were wondering what exactly goes into retouching an entire session for your newborn. It's a lot of work! Each image takes roughly 10-15 minutes: Between scratches, red blotches, diaper rash, red/blue hands and feet from lack of circulation, flaky skin, jaundice, any birth marks or bruises from labor, it can be quite a chore to make each image look as perfect as possible. Below, is the final image that the client would receive:

My dear friend Jessica gave birth to the most perfect baby boy at 3:34 this morning, weighing in at a tiny 9lbs, 5oz. She completed not only an incredible natural birth, making it to the hospital only a mere 9 minutes before he was born, but also got her VBAC birth!!! (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) Super woman? I believe so, yes. Welcome to this world, beautiful Samuel. "I totally thought I was going to deliver him right there in the car...!" - Mom Because this couple is from Idaho (unable to find a doctor that would help her successfully have a VBAC), they had to drive all the way into Spokane Valley to deliver with Dr. Meltzer from Valley OBGYN. ...And I should mention, they drove so fast to get there, they got pulled over by the cops ;)       |
