Baby Safety First...Even if it is Not a Newborn!

It needs to be said, both to my clients and fellow photographers: BABY SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST!!

It doesn't matter if you are working with a newborn, or a 3 month old, or a 6 month old, or a 12 month old...their safety always comes first and foremost. This edit took me about 10 minutes total to clone out the dad's arm holding onto his son's back (before), and to warm it up and haze it out a bit. Although this little man was okay at sitting on his own, he was still a tad bit wobbly, so he just needed a little extra support :)

As a mother myself, I will always treat the children I photograph as if they were my own. I would never do a setup with another child that I would not attempt on my own kiddos. That being said, I always make sure to take to parents beforehand to see if they are okay with the certain pose or setup I am trying to accomplish.
