Today I woke up to a kiss on my cheek, and the sweetest "Happy Birthday, mom. I love you!" from my 5 year old son. I melted back into my pillow, wrapped him in my arms, and cuddled him for a few moments. I almost drifted back off to sleep, when my 2 year old daughter entered the room to exclaim, "HAPPY BIRFDAY, MAMA!!!!!" in the loudest, shrillest toddler voice possible. I can't imagine a better way of waking up on your 30th birthday, and I will remember this morning forever.
